Terms & Conditions

These terms apply whenever you book a lesson, join a Group Grinds programme, or use the LC Tutors student portal. Because most of our students are under 18, if you are a parent or guardian booking on behalf of a child, “you” below refers to you as the booking party, and by booking you confirm you have the authority to do so and accept these terms on the student's behalf.

Who We Are

LC Tutors is an online grinds service covering Leaving Certificate, Junior Cycle and HPAT preparation, delivered live over Zoom by founder Ali Azam. You can reach us at thelctutors@gmail.com.

Booking & Payment

1:1 sessions are paid for upfront, per session, through our payment processor Stripe. Group Grinds and HPAT group programmes are billed monthly as a recurring subscription, also through Stripe. We do not see or store your card details — Stripe handles all payment data directly. Prices shown on the site are current at the time of booking and may change for future bookings or renewal periods (for example, when an early-bird rate ends).

Cancelling a Group Grinds Subscription

Group Grinds and HPAT group programmes renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time by emailing us before your next billing date; cancelling stops future charges but doesn't refund the current billing period already paid for.

Cancellations & Rescheduling (1:1 Lessons)

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a 1:1 lesson without charge. Lessons cancelled with less notice may be charged at the full session rate.

Lessons, Recordings & Materials

Group lessons are recorded and made available through the student portal; 1:1 recordings are shared by email as a Google Drive link. Recordings, notes and any other materials we provide are for the personal study use of the enrolled student and their family only, and should not be redistributed, resold or shared outside your household.

The Student Portal

The student portal is provided through a third-party platform (Base44). Keep your login credentials confidential; you're responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend portal access if these terms are breached.

Conduct

We expect respectful conduct from all students and parents during lessons and in any communication with us. LC Tutors reserves the right to end a tutoring relationship, without refund for future unbooked sessions, where this expectation isn't met.

No Guaranteed Results

We work hard to help every student improve, but LC Tutors cannot guarantee specific exam results, grades or college offers — these depend on many factors outside our control.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to book lessons or use the portal after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
